Frequently asked questions
The short version of who Edmoss is, what it builds, and how to work with it.
What is Edmoss Pty Ltd?
Edmoss Pty Ltd is an Australian company that builds and licenses production software for film and VFX, and provides AI consultancy for production pipelines. It is registered in New South Wales (ABN 88 653 308 091) and works regularly in Sydney.
Who is behind Edmoss?
Edmoss was founded by Brett Feeney, who has around thirty years in VFX and film pipeline — roughly twenty of them writing Python — alongside React, Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine and current AI/ML tooling.
Where is Edmoss based?
Edmoss is based in regional New South Wales, Australia, and works regularly in Sydney.
What software does Edmoss make?
Shipped, production-tested tools spanning film and VFX pipeline (image processing, asset management, editorial handoff, and a research and story-development knowledge engine), meeting and collaboration tools, and accessibility and research apps. The Software page lists them in full.
Does Edmoss offer AI consultancy?
Yes. Edmoss advises studios on where generative and ML tools genuinely help a VFX or post pipeline — and where they don't — then does the practical integration work. Engagements are scoped, senior-only, with code and IP handed over cleanly.
Can Edmoss run AI privately or on-premises?
Yes. Edmoss designs self-hosted and hybrid inference infrastructure for clients who can't send material to public APIs, including graph-backed retrieval and model-agnostic layers so nothing is locked to one vendor.
What industries does Edmoss work with?
Primarily feature-film and VFX studios, plus film schools and industry bodies for talks and training. Edmoss also builds bespoke tools for cases where nothing off the shelf fits.
